Monday, August 13, 2007 RIP Mike Wieringo RIP MIKE WIERINGO 1963-2007 Like the rest of the comics community, we were shocked to hear about the death of comic book artist Mike Wieringo this morning. I first became of his work, like most people, during his run of The Flash with Mark Waid. It was during this run that he created one of my favorite comic book characters, Impulse. His run on the Flash remains one of my favorites to this day. Wieringo later went on to work on many books for both Marvel and DC, including another great team-up with Mark Waid on Fantastic Four.
