Since DC Comics was nice enough to link to our 4th of July Sale, I figured I should make a DC variant sales flyer. Here it is!

Doesn’t matter which side you’re on, you’ll find plenty of great deals at our sale in July!

Over on DC Universe: The Source Blog, DC put up pictures of people reading Wednesday Comics #1, and used the picture we used for the Staff Picks this week. Nice!

Everyone here is very excited for Wednesday Comics #1, and we’ve decided to extend our excitement to our customers. We’re offering the first issue risk-free with a money-back guarantee! If you don’t like it, bring the issue back with the receipt and we’ll give you a full refund. We’re convinced you’ll love the book, but if you needed another reason to pick it up, here it is. Where else will you find a line-up as amazing as:
-Neil Gaiman
-Mike Allred
-Brian Azzarello
-Edward Rizzo
-Ryan Soon
-Lee Bermejo
-Kyle Baker
-Kurt Busiek
-Paul Pope
-Amanda Connor
And the list goes on and on.
This book is printed newspaper-style, measuring at 14″ by 20″, folded twice. Each story is one page (4 pages folded comic style) and the book runs for 12 weeks. This is one of the most ambitious books DC has ever published, and a real treat for art fans. Wednesday Comics gets our highest possible recommendation. Pick up your copy today!
How could I forget to post about this…NEXT SATURDAY IS FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!
…and fan favorites like…
Like every year, there is no limit to the number of books you can take. Feel free to take one, or take one of each! The more, the merrier! You just have to promise to read it! :)

This upcoming Friday (Feb 27th), the Metro and Comics Conspiracy will be giving you a chance to win FREE advanced screening tickets for WATCHMEN! All you have to do enter is come down to the store on Friday, and drop off an original drawing of your favorite Watchmen character. Please be sure to include your name and e-mail address on the back of the drawing, as winners will be contacted by e-mail.
The screening is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:30pm at the AMC Mercado 20 in Santa Clara, however the official time and location will be announced shortly. Like most advanced screenings, there will be limited seats available, so if you win, please get to the theater early so you can be guaranteed a seat!
Because Friday is also the first day of WonderCon, we’re going to be open longer hours, so you can drop off your entry before or after the conventon. Our hours on Friday will be 9am-9pm, so stop on by for your chance to win!
Also, if you’ve never read Watchmen, we’ll have plenty of copies of the book available. Feel free to pick one up for reference for your sketch!
See you on Friday!
