Sorry to announce, but this Friday’s signing with Darick Robinson has been canceled due to illness. We’re hoping for a speedy recovery for Darick, as this flu season has been particularly bad. Now that all the craziness of the last shipment is behind us, we can finally announce some big news! On Friday, May 15th, we’ll have Darick Robertson, artist of The Boys, Transmetropolitan, and my personal favorite, The New Warriors, for a signing from 4-7pm!

Darick is a fan-favorite of the entire staff, so it’s a real treat to have him here for a signing.

We’ll have a huge stock of his work here, including the trade paperbacks for The Boys and Transmetropolitan, or feel free to bring our own books to get signed. I hear he’ll even do a free head sketch if you ask nicely!

WRITER GEOFF JOHNS TO SIGN DC UNIVERSE: ZERO, RAFFLE DINNER FOR CBLDF, AT COMICS CONSPIRACY

SUNNYVALE, CA, April 7, 2008 – Popular comic book writer Geoff Johns (Green Lantern, Infinite Crisis) will be signing at the Sunnyvale-based Comics Conspiracy on Wednesday, April 30th from 2pm-6pm, in support of his new comic book release, DC UNIVERSE: ZERO. Co-written by Grant Morrison, with art by George Pérez, Tony Daniel, J.G. Jones, and many more, this issue serves as the springboard for the upcoming FINAL CRISIS mini-series, as well as many DC projects throughout 2008 and 2009.

“We’re very happy to have Geoff here at the store,” said Comics Conspiracy owner Ryan Higgins. “He’s brought a new life to DC’s characters that haven’t been seen in years, and the sales of his titles reflect fans’ growing interest in these characters. The DC Universe is in good hands with him as one of the major architects.”

A Comic Book Legal Defense Fund dinner raffle will follow the signing. The CBLDF was founded in 1986 as a 501 © 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of First Amendment rights for members of the comics community. Five lucky fans will win the opportunity to have dinner with Geoff Johns, and all money collected for the raffle will be donated to the CBLDF. Comics Conspiracy owner Ryan Higgins will match the amount generated by the raffle. “I’ve been a supporter of the Fund for many years, and hope to continue to raise money for this important organization,” Higgins said.

Comics Conspiracy is located at 115-A East Fremont Avenue in Sunnyvale, CA. Geoff Johns will be signing from 2pm until 6pm, followed by the raffle dinner for the CBLDF.

Wednesday, January 23rd, Comics Conspiracy welcomes the talented John R. Fultz, writer of Archaia Studio’s Primordia, for an in-store signing event! We will have tons of copies of Primordia #1 and #2 on hand for sale for John to sign, or bring your own copies! He’ll be talking about his upcoming work, the final issue of Primordia, and his columns for The Pulse, ” Treasures of the Old-School” and “Theory of Evolution”. Mark your calendar!
