Marvel has something huge planned for Captain America #600…something so big, they’re releasing it on a Monday! We’ll be participating in the Monday, June 15th release of this historic issue, and have plenty of issues on hand. There’s this sweet Steve Epting cover (shown), and another classic Alex Ross cover. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime comic!

For those of you that cannot make it on Monday, we’ll have the book out for normal sale on Wednesday, as well as available for all subscribers in their pull box.

Marvel already announced that this issue is sold out, so we’ll be limiting the sale of Captain America #600 to 2 copies per person. Also, currently this is scheduled to ship direct via UPS, which means it will show up during our normal UPS delivery. Sometimes this will be around 1-2pm, however there is a chance it will come in earlier. When we get official word of a shipping time, I’ll update this message.

I regret to inform you that, due to a major shipping problem, we will not be receiving our new comics this week until tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd. Somewhere between the Diamond warehouse in LA and the trucking company hub, an entire pallet of comics went missing, including the entire weeks shipment for us, Comic Collector Shop, Black Cat Comics, Illusive Comics, and Heroes. We’re scheduled to receive about 75% of our new releases on Thursday, including almost every major Marvel/DC title. Over the next few days we should receive the rest from other warehouses, however we will not be releasing them until next Wednesday, so you don’t have to worry about coming back every day for one or two books. A small amount of books, mostly reorders, were currently unavailable, and should show up over the course of the coming weeks. We’ll have a list of these books at the front counter tomorrow. Of course, we’re hoping that they find the pallet sometime today, and deliver the remaining books that aren’t being sent overnight to us, but we’ll see what happens.

UPS is scheduled to deliver the books between 9am-10:30am tomorrow. If they show up at 9am, we should have them processed and on the wall by opening time; however, if they show up later, they might not be ready yet. If possible, I’d suggest showing up sometime after noon.

Good news, everybody! Thanks to Marvel and Diamond, the 2nd print of Amazing Spider-Man #583 has been rushed to the printer, and we’ll have plenty of copies available next Wednesday! If you want to reserve a copy, please e-mail us, and we’ll set one aside for you.

Besides the Obama/Spider-Man book, there’s another very important comic out this week, Final Crisis #6. Although not mentioned in the solicitation, but referred to many times by the likes of Grant Morrison and Dan Didio, this issue reveals the “final fate” of Batman, tying up Morrison’s long story of the Caped Crusader.

Like much of Final Crisis, issue #6 comes at a break-neck speed, with much happening off-panel, but it’s very clear what happens in those final pages. Don’t get spoiled and flip to the end or read it online, pick this one up for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

As of last night, I’ve turned away 20 people that wanted to pre-order the Obama Spider-Man comic. Let’s keep a running tally of how many people I have to turn away today.

HOWEVER! One guy did pre-order 3 copies of the 2nd print, so there’s some hope, afterall.
