COMIC BOOK SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE INFO AND RULES
We offer a free subscription service to all customers so you can make sure you get all the comics you want, each and every week. We just need the following information:
– Full name
– Current mailing address
– Current email address or phone number
– List of comic books you want held
And, of course, a little fine print:
We put all subscription comics in bags and boards. You are not required to take them, we use them so the comics stay in good condition. We charge subscribers 15-cents per bag and board, a discount of 10-cent from our normal price of 25-cents per bag and board. Just let the employee know if you don’t want them when you’re purchasing your comics.
We will occasionally put a comic in your subscription box that you didn’t sign up for. Often these are the starts of major events tied to titles you get, the new comic by a creator that you get a lot of comics by, or something we’re offering a deal to all our subscribers. You are not required to buy these comics, please let us know if you don’t want them so we can make sure you don’t get the next issue. For example, if you’re subscribed to the main Batman title, we will not put every Batman mini-series for you, however an important comic like Dark Knight III #1 we offered to all current subscribers of Batman.
While we’re happy to hold your comics, we do have rules that all subscribers must abide by. We ask all subscribers to pick up their entire subscription box by the end of each and every month. All comics must be picked up before other comics are put on hold. If you’re picking up part of your subscription, the oldest comics must be picked up first. You can add or drop titles at any point, but please note that you may be required to pick up upcoming issues of the title that have already been ordered, so please let us know as soon as possible if you want to drop a title so we can adjust our orders. If you drop a title, you’re still required to pick up the issues we have on hold for you. After a month, we’ll attempt to contact you via phone or email. If you do not reply within one week, your subscription will be closed immediately and you will be unable to reopen it. If your email bounces or your phone number is disconnected, your subscription will be closed immediately and you will be unable to reopen it, so please keep them current. If you close your subscription and have cleared out your subscription box, you can reopen your subscription at any time.
For customers that cannot make it monthly, we do offer to keep a credit card on file and charge you for your books at the end of every month, and hold them until you can come pick them up. For mail-order subscribers, you will be required to have a credit card on file, or a current Paypal address for us to invoice you. All the above rules apply to mail-order customers as well.
We’re not total jerks, we understand things happen. Please contact the store if you’re unable to pick up your subscription on time, we’re happy to work something out!
